As part of their exploration of the album Les Musiciens de Brême, pupils in the two Grande Section classes spent a week dedicated to music and musical discovery.
The week was launched with a visit from Mr. Chardon, music teacher at the collège, who introduced them to a wide variety of instruments. The children were able to discover string, wind and percussion instruments, listen to the sounds they produce and understand how they work. Although the project was designed for Grande Section pupils, the Petite Section children in Ms. Lanau’s class were also able to participate, marvel and learn alongside their elders. A superb immersion in the world of music, which aroused a great deal of enthusiasm and curiosity.
Between the reading of the album, exchanges with the music teacher and sound discoveries, this project was a great way to prolong the pleasure of the story while awakening the pupils’ senses.
