Artistic discovery in CE1 B

During their DNL (Non-Linguistic Disciplines) lesson, the children discovered the primary colors by observing Piet Mondrian’s artwork. After this introduction, each student let their creativity flow by producing small pieces of art inspired by the famous painter. They experimented with geometric shapes, straight lines, and strong color contrasts. Our students had great fun and learned a lot!

Organized into harmonious compositions and framed by horizontal and vertical black lines, these works convey both simplicity and modernity. Through this unique style, Mondrian sought to express balance and universality.
