A year of success in mathematics for the LfiSV

A year of success in mathematics for the LfiSV

Throughout the school year, mathematics has held a central place in the academic life of LfiSV. On June 27, a prize-giving ceremony concluded this momentum by recognizing students’ dedication and achievements in various competitions and projects. From national contests to collaborative initiatives, students—from primary school through high school—had the opportunity to enhance their skills and tackle diverse challenges.

A highlight of the year was the participation of around twenty of our students in the Math en Jeans congress in Paris. This successful event has undoubtedly fostered future aspirations, as evidenced by the strong performances in other competitions.

At the prestigious Math Olympiads, renowned for its challenging questions, four Première students—Caroline Bouquet, Julien Caruyer, Erwan Maran, and Arthur Minaud—took second place as a team. In the individual category, Arthur Minaud also secured second place.

Similarly, in the 4ème Math Olympiads, Emma Bessières and Liam Poupier achieved first place. Quentin Senic and Ernesto Trematore successfully represented their level by taking second place in the Informatics Olympiad for 4èmes.

As each year, our students also took part in the Castor Informatique (computing), Algoréa (programming), and Alkindi (coding) contests, as well as Maths sans frontières (grades 6ème, 3ème, and Seconde), often with notable successes.

In the Kangourou contest, nearly 150 students participated, and it was the youngest ones who stood out. Three CE2 students—Eden Mignon, Remy Wirjawan, and Anaïs Una Cariou—all achieved a remarkable 12th place out of nearly 30,000 national participants.

These results reflect the dedication of our students across all educational levels and highlight the institution’s commitment to fostering curiosity, rigor, and analytical thinking. Congratulations to all for your consistent engagement. We look forward to continuing this wonderful momentum in mathematics next year!
