A morning in the nature of Düsseldorf!

A morning in the nature of Düsseldorf!

On September 12, 2025, the three CE2 classes put on their jackets, grabbed their drawing boards and pencils, and set off for the Düsseldorf Wildpark.

The goal of the day?
To observe the deer — especially the female deer — up close and practice drawing what they saw. Before reaching the park, the children walked through the forest, listening carefully to the surrounding sounds.

Meeting the Deer at the Wildpark

When they arrived at the Wildpark, the excitement was immediate. The gentle, elegant deer moved calmly around their enclosure and even approached to nibble on the apple pieces the children had brought. Quiet as mice, the students watched how they walked, ate, and twitched their ears.
Then came the big challenge: drawing a deer! Some captured its graceful posture, others its large dark eyes, and all worked with great care to reproduce the details.

Discovering the Trees of the Forest

Back in the forest, the children were amazed by the tall, varied trees. Each child chose “their” tree: a majestic oak, a beech with golden leaves…
Armed with their drawing boards, the young artists studied the bark, branches, and leaves, and carefully sketched what they observed.

The children are already looking forward to their next outing to revisit “their” tree and observe how it has changed.
