A 6e wins the Petit Fauve d'Argent d'Angoulême!

It is a great honor for our school! Camille, a 6e at LfiSV, was awarded for her original comic book “The Dwarf Planet” at the International Comics Festival of Angoulême, receiving the Petit Fauve d’Argent!

This prestigious contest, recognized by the French Ministry of National Education and supported by UNESCO, aims to reveal young talents in the Francophone comic world, both in France and abroad. Open to all educational levels, it brought together students from around the globe this year: Mexico, Singapore, Spain, South Korea… and of course Germany, with Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Munich!

The contest allows each student to express themselves freely on a theme of their choice while exploring the codes of graphic storytelling. It encourages creativity, imagination, language skills, and artistic sense. It is also a fantastic way to boost self-confidence.

Her comic humorously and tenderly portrays Pluto. Through a series of colorful and expressive panels, Camille brings this famous planet, now relegated to the status of a “dwarf planet,” to life. Camille imagines an interplanetary dialogue led by Pluto, who seeks acceptance among the other planets. Between unusual experiences, stellar jealousies, and a wink to our dear Earth, the young author gives us a tender, clever and engaged look at the universe… and ourselves!

With a bold graphic style and well-paced dialogues, Camille shows that she is a true talent! This award is not only a wonderful recognition of her work but also a source of inspiration for all students.

Congratulations to Camille for this comic full of humor and personality and a big thank you to everyone who encourages our students to express their talents!
