On March 8, women are in the spotlight!

March 8 is International Women’s Day, symbolizing the struggles of women around the world to assert their rights, and what better way to celebrate this day than by inviting a woman to discuss it?
On this day, the CM1 classes were visited by a mother who works as an engineer at Airbus: her job is as a MAP (cabin and cargo) engineer on an Airbus 320 aircraft.
Her job is concrete, lively, diversified and close to the product. She would accompany the aircraft from cabin installation to delivery of the product to the customer, passing through the various stages such as pressurization, painting and flight tests (she even took part in flight tests).
Another part of her job involves problem-solving, finding last-minute technical solutions and making last-minute modifications requested by the customer.

After this visit, rich in exchanges, the students wrote their essays, which are presented below:

Today, Wednesday March 8, is International Women’s Day, and the CM1s welcomed Madame Wagner.
She’s an engineer at Airbus.
She checks cabin construction plans and sometimes finds herself among the many pipes in an aircraft’s hold.
Above all, it’s a team effort, where everyone is responsible for each other’s safety.
She is passionate about her work.
She has even applied to become an astronaut.
Thank you Marie-Laure for your dynamic intervention!
