Carnival always means parades, dancing, pancakes and lots and lots of fun!
After being brilliantly represented at the town’s carnival on February 18 by a group of parents, the whole elementary school had its special moment on March 3.
This year, 2 different themes were chosen.
The kindergarten chose the circus as its theme, and all the children were happy to show off their costumes and celebrate.
The rest of the primaries showed us how recycling can be approached in a colorful way!
Pupils came to school in costume, each more original than the last.
Of course, the teachers played along too, arriving at school in full make-up and fancy dress.
Madame Chardon, as mistress of ceremonies, got the ball rolling, and the atmosphere was soon warmed up by dancing and a crazy farandole that stretched all the way up to the second floor.
As tradition would have it, once again, costumes that matched the theme were rewarded with a diploma, and it’s fair to say there were a lot of them!
All this dancing not only warmed the children up, but also whetted their appetites!
The pains au chocolat, croissants, sweets and fruit juices gave them a well-deserved respite, before the dancing resumed.
The party would have gone on, but it was time to get ready to go home or take part in the after-school programs, and one by one, the children returned to their classrooms.
A great way to start school again after the vacations, and a wonderful moment shared between the children and the school staff, everyone had a superb and colorful Friday.
We would like to congratulate all the children and parents for creating such beautiful costumes, and give a special mention to our primary director, Mme Chardon, for her marathon today: 2 magnificent costumes, 2 parties, 2 prize-giving ceremonies, lots of hard work and generosity!
