On Wednesday, October 15, the students from the three CE2 classes set off through the forest to visit a passionate beekeeper.
After a pleasant walk in nature, the children were eager to learn how honey is made and how bees live and work together. During the visit, the beekeeper explained how a hive functions, the different roles within the colony, and the importance of bees for pollination.
Curious and attentive, the students observed the worker bees closely, fascinated by their meticulous organization.
They also watched a demonstration of honey extraction, before tasting the golden highly aromatic honey.
This hands-on experience gave the students a deeper understanding of the life cycle of bees, their essential role in nature, and the craft of beekeeping — a day both educational and deliciously memorable!
