Careers and higher education talks: Preparing for the future!

The 2025–2026 Careers and higher education talks programme concluded on 11 May 2026 with a final session led by Fleur, a 2024 LfiSV graduate and alumna. Around ten students had the opportunity to attend a 75-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.

Fleur shared her experience as a medical student at the Catholic University of Lille, providing valuable insights into her academic journey. She spoke about choosing her specialisations, navigating the differences between the French and German education systems, preparing her Parcoursup application, and adapting to university life. She also discussed her current studies, learning methods and student experience. Thank you, Fleur, for your enthusiasm, openness and authenticity, which were truly inspiring for our students.

This final session also provides an opportunity to look back on the rich programme of talks offered throughout the year. We would like to warmly thank:

  • Philippe Guégan, for his presentation on careers in marketing and corporate sustainability;
  • Xavier Audouze, aerospace engineer;
  • Justine Desnoulez, a legal professional who went on to become an enterprise developer;
  • Alexandre Franke, for his insights into legal careers and higher education opportunities in France and Germany;
  • Juliette Vidal Naquet, trainee probation and rehabilitation officer;
  • Leslie Baroche, who shared her academic journey and career as a psychologist;
  • The team from the Catholic University of Lille, and in particular Marion Lagueritte, for presenting the university’s law programmes in detail.

We hope these talks have helped our students explore new academic and professional pathways while gaining valuable guidance for their future choices.

We are already looking forward to welcoming new speakers next school year and to highlighting even more inspiring alumni experiences.
