Once again for this 2021/2022 school year, we’re offering students in the two second-year classes a series of lectures on careers, initiated by Madame Boursault, in coordination with Mr. Bourgeois, the classes’ head teachers. The professions and sectors presented by representatives of the professional world are in line with our students’ career plans. These presentations complement the Personalized Guidance Help provided by Madame Larsen, as well as the resources available in the CDI and on It’s Learning.
During the first half of the year, five speakers based in Germany, Hong Kong or Istanbul from the chemical, catering, energy, construction and air transport sectors enthusiastically presented and shared their backgrounds, professions, business sectors, missions, company responsibilities and work-life balance.
The presentations were rich in content and interactive, as our students had the opportunity to ask questions, which our speakers answered with complete transparency.
Our high-school students discovered a team of people who are passionate about their work and the satisfaction they derive from it.
They also realized that not all career paths are linear, nor are the paths to them, and that today’s careers are constantly evolving.
These wonderful encounters will undoubtedly inspire our students to take up vocations!
