Athletics at the European PES Games

One of the disciplines at the European PE Games was athletics.

All the athletes from Warsaw, Vilnius, Prague, Tbilisi, Zurich, Frankfurt, Bratislava and of course Düsseldorf took part in the competition.

The competitions took place at the Waldstadion in Düsseldorf, and athletes completed the following disciplines: 400-meter relay, 800-meter run, 50-meter sprint, vortex throw and multi-bounce.

All the athletes had already prepared intensively and regularly with their sports teachers during the preparation time, so there was a lot of anticipation as to who would end up on the medal places.

LfdD’s young reporters were able to record their impressions and feelings through photos and videos, as well as interviews with participants before and after the event.

Interview with Maria, a student from Tbilisi :

“- How do you feel before the test?

I’m scared and stressed but also very motivated.

– Which tests did you choose?

I chose the 400-meter relay and the vortex throw.

After the competition, we asked him:

“Are you proud of yourself?

Yes, I’m very proud of myself.
I’ve trained long and hard for this moment.

Interview with David, a student from Bratislava:

“- How do you feel before the test?

I feel great.

– Which tests did you choose?

I chose the sprint, the 400-meter relay and the vortex throw.

After the competition, we asked him:

“Are you proud of yourself?

Yes, I’m very proud of myself.
I’m also very proud of my team.
