The celebration of the school’s 60th anniversary created a real synergy between the various components of our school community.
We were all delighted to see the smiles on the faces of all those children, our children, in blue, white and red, to hear their laughter echoing across the courtyard at every turn of the amusing magician-clown, and to hear them sing in French and German to their classmates and parents, happiness to see them stand up and applaud wildly their classmates who so brilliantly and solemnly shared in reading and music excerpts from speeches by Simone Veil and other great figures who have worked so hard for friendship between peoples, happiness to feel the magic in the air on this beautiful sunny October day when, all together, we put our arms in the air, “go, go, go” and danced and sang.
The incredible joy of having succeeded in uniting and bringing together, for one fantastic day, all the young, medium and old, pupils, teachers, parents, officials, all the staff, the entire school community.
On the same day, the WDR television and radio station featured the school in its news programme, highlighting its international dimension and its 60th anniversary.
