The CDI Readathon, review and discoveries

Before the summer holidays, several 5ème pupils decided to embark on a literary adventure by taking part in the CDI Readathon.

What is a readathon?

Basically, it’s a challenge to read, alone or with others, on a particular topic.

The aim? Simply get out of your comfort zone and read more, then keep a record of what you’ve read over the summer and share your discoveries with your classmates once you return to school. Four students successfully rose to the challenge, and presented their favourite books at a convivial meeting organised during the lunch break.

Congratulations to Leila, Clémence and Rihanna for their enthusiasm and commitment! They shared their favourite books in French, English and German, offering their fellow students a wide range of genres and languages. A special mention goes to Rihanna, who also took part in the Düsseldorf Central Library’s summer reading club, continuing her passion for reading beyond the school walls.

A special round of applause for Ophélie, who showed her creativity by rewriting her favourite stories to include her own character. Her imagination gave a new dimension to the stories, demonstrating the inspiration that reading can inspire.

This Readathon was an opportunity to share enriching literary discoveries and cultivate a love of books, while inspiring their fellow students to plunge into new literary adventures of their own.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Readathon again next year!
