Düsselkronen is a project by Blockblocks Cleanup gGmbH, initially aimed at businesses and the catering industry.
The aim of the project is to recycle all caps and lids that are otherwise lost in normal waste or in nature.
The project supports various organizations dedicated to animal welfare.
Since December, our school has been proud to be part of this project.
The CM2s acted as ambassadors, presenting the project to students from Maternelle to Terminale.
They also created posters to explain and promote the project, and put them up around the school to remind everyone of it on a daily basis.
The project explained by CM2 pupils
The Düsselkronen project involves collecting metal caps and lids for regional associations.
100 kg of caps and lids collected generate 10 euros.
When we have 100 kg, an organization comes to collect them for recycling.
We are currently supporting the “Greifvogelhilfe” association for injured birds of prey (in Brüggen).
The CM2 A and B classes presented the project to all kindergarten, elementary, junior high and high school classes.
Posters were also produced by the two CM2 classes to present the project.
Caps and lids can be deposited in the blue bins located at the entrances to the kindergarten, elementary and secondary school buildings.
Be sure to drop off your caps and lids!
