Poetry of the Resistance

The two3rd grade classes got together to put the finishing touches to the Poetry of Resistance project. The work was carried out in French class by Mme Pons, in Art class by Mme Murat and in Music class by Mme Ferrant.

The poems presented were written during the Second World War by poets involved in the French Resistance.

Students performed a poem, reciting it to a soundtrack of their choice.
This task had been introduced in class, but the students prepared it on their own.
A selection of the best performances had been made beforehand in each class.

The3e A class also created vinyl record sleeves for each poem in art class.

The combination of the three disciplines allowed the students to express the emotion they felt when reading these texts.
And they emphasized courage and freedom.

A podium of the best performances was elected by the two classes, their teachers and Mr. Dillenschneider: congratulations to Jules and Clovis who took first place, Anaëlle for second and Madalena and Arthur with Aristodimos tied for third!

Mae, Maya and Youssef win the special prize for artistic creation for their vinyl, congratulations to all three!
