To mark Press and Media Week at school, Estelle Faure, a journalist with franceinfo, Agathe Guilhem and Rémi Chaurand, journalists with Astrapi, invited 33,000 students to attend a “Salut l’info!” webinar with their class on Tuesday March 28, 2023.
The children in the CM2A class had sent in their questions beforehand, but the class could also ask questions via chat during the webinar.
In particular, they explained the difference between news and rumor, news and fake news, news and advertising and news and opinion.
They also discussed the sources of news and how to check that it is true.

Every week, “Salut l’info” brings the news to 7-11 year-olds.
Following this talk, the students researched and prepared posters on various topics relating to the world of the press: the journalist’s job, fake news, and so on.
To complete the picture, 2 students prepared a selection of articles with only positive information for one week.
