School scholarships

School scholarships

The Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger (AEFE) can provide schooling assistance in the form of scholarships for French children living abroad with their families. Under certain conditions, they can be used to cover all or part of tuition fees, enrolment or re-enrolment fees, half-board, transport costs, maintenance costs and examination fees. These scholarships are proposed by local commissions set up at diplomatic or consular posts and awarded after consultation with a national commission set up by the director of the agency.

How to obtain grant applications

Scholarship applications are available from the Consulate or from the school secretary’s office. Please return them by post to the consulate, or make an appointment with the school assistance service at the Consulate General of France in Frankfurt.

New request

All new families must submit their application without waiting for the school to confirm the enrolment of their child(ren). Bursary applications must be renewed every year and must be submitted within the prescribed deadlines.. The presence of scholarship-holders is verified at the start of the school year.
